About Hajj & Umrah

Hajj and Umrah are two important rituals in Islam. Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, and every able Muslim must perform it once in his life. The Hajj takes place during the months of Hajj (Shawwal, Dhul-Qa'dah, and days of Dhul-Hijjah) and includes a group of rituals performed in the holy city of Mecca. As for Umrah, it is a visit to Mecca to perform certain rituals, but it is not obligatory like Hajj. It can be performed at any time of the year, and includes circumambulating the Kaaba and sa'i between Safa and Marwa.
